Chap 5</u>

"Okay is everyone here?" Yolei asked, holding up her red Digivice.
"All except Davis." TK sighed.
"Like usual." Cody shrugged.
They heard a loud commotion from outside the computer lab that sounded like two people colliding with each other followed by the sounds of hundreds of papers being thrown into the air.
"Mr. Motomiya!! Running is for the soccer field, not the school hallways!" a gruff, male voice bellowed.
"I'm so sorry,Mr. Reynolds! I promise it'll never happen again! Here, let me help pick those up."
Minutes later, Davis burst into the room.
"Hey guys! Sorry I'm late! But I had a bit of trouble escaping Twenty Questions About Matt from June."
"Whatever.  At least you're here." Yolei then pointed her Digivice at the computer. "Digi-Port open!"
The room was filled with a bright light as the gate to the Digimon world opened on the computer monitor.
Davis, Cody, TK, Ken, Yolei, Kari, and all their Digimon were soon sucked in.
Moments later, they were in the Digital World, where their clothing had changed to match whatever they were thinking and also to where the Digimon-except Gatomon and Patamon-were back in their Rookie forms.
"Where did Sabina say she was?" Davis asked.
Ken glanced at his Digivice."A cave system about five miles from here."
"Then let's go! Veemon! Time to Digivolve!"
"Right!"
Everyone else took out their Digivices so their Digimon could Digivolve as well.
"Digi-Armor Energize!" TK, Cody, Kari, and Yolei exclaimed.
Their Digimon was engulfed in the same light as Wormmon and Veemon as they began to Digivolve to their Champion level.
"Hawkmon Armor-Digivolve to......Shurimon, the Samurai of Sincerity!"
"Armadillomon Armor-Digivolve to.....Digmon, the Drill of Knowledge!"
"Gatomon Armor-Digivolve to......Nefertimon, the Angel of Light!"
"Patamon Armor-Digivolve to....Pegasusmon, Flying Hope!"
"Veemon Digivolve to......ExVeemon!"
"Wormmon Digivolve to.....Stingmon!"
"Let's head out, troops!" Davis called as ExVeemon picked him up.
"We're not an army force, Davis." TK pointed out from Pegasusmon's back.
"And you certainly wouldn't be the colonel." Yolei added as Shurimon wrapped his spring-like arms around her waist.
"Come on, guys, don't start fighting again." Kari pleaded.  She was sitting on Nefertimon's back.
"Yeah.  Let's just go do what we came here for." Cody said from his position atop Digmon's back.
"Let's hurry!" Ken added, sitting on Stingmon's shoulder. "Sabina's waiting for us!"

"This is the cave Ken wanted to meet me at, right, Chivalrymon?" Sabina stared into the dark, chilly black void that was the cave's entrance.
"It is the only cave for miles around." Chivalrymon informed her.
Sabina took out her D-Terminal and reread the email Ken had sent her just an hour ago.
"'Sabina, please meet the others and me at the mouth of the cave of the Digital World Mountains.  We believe we have found another Digi-Egg.  It could be yours.
~Ken.'"
Sabina looked around.
"I don't see them.  Supposedly we got the wrong mountain range?"
"No, I see them! Look!" Chivalrymon pointed into the air.
Sabina looked.
Coming up from the the horizon were six tiny specks that grew as they came closer.  Sabina backed away as she saw that the specks turned out to be large Digimon that landed in front of her.
"Sabina! We're here!" Ken jumped down from the giant, green insectoid Digimon then ran up to her.
"Ken?! B-but.....who are they?" Sabina pointed at the Digimon.
"Oh, don't worry.  They're just the Digivolved forms of our Digimon." Kari said. "This is Nefertimon. And that's Pegasusmon, Shurimon, Digmon, ExVeemon, and Stingmon."
"Whoa." Sabina was awed.  She then looked down at Chivalrymon. "Can you Digivolve, too?"
"Of course.  All Digimon have that capability, my dear.  Unfortunately, I have yet to unlock that power."
"So the new Digi-Egg is in there?" Yolei shivered as she looked into the cave.
"I'm afraid it is so." Shurimon nodded. "But don't worry, Yolei.  I'll make sure nothing happens to you."
"And we'll do our best to keep the rest of you safe as well." Nefertimon added as Digmon, ExVeemon, Pegasusmon, and Stingmon nodded in agreement.
"Well then, what are we waiting for? We have a Digi-Egg to find!"
The seven Digi-Destined and their Digimon entered the caves and were immediately swallowed up by darkness.
A bright, purple glow then lit up the cavern.
"Aah! Stingmon! A little warning next time?" Davis groaned, rubbing his sore eyes.
The stinger of Stingmon's left hand was extended out and emanating a luminescent glow.
"Sorry about that Davis."
"Guys look!" Kari suddenly gasped, pointing in front of them.
"Oh no!" Yolei groaned.
"You've got to be kidding me!" Davis added.
Burrowed into the large cave walls were a hundred dozen cavern openings.
"We have to look through all of them?" Cody asked.
"We don't have a choice.  Why don't we split into three groups?" Ken suggested.
"Great idea, Ken." Kari smiled. "That way it'll be easier to look for the Digi-Egg."
"Easy? Doesn't sound easy to me." Davis complained.
"Ok, TK, Cody, and Kari? You three are in Group One.  Davis and Yolei are in Group Two.  I'll go with Sabina and we'll be Group 3." Ken instructed.
"Ah, why do I have to be with Yolei? Can't I be with Kari instead?" Davis crossed his arms stubbornly.
Yolei suddenly grabbed him in a headlock.
"We don't have time for your complaining, Davis! We have a job to do!"
"Oww....okay, okay! I'll go with you! Just let go of my head! I need it!"
Yolei released him.
"If we don't find the egg within an hour, we should meet up back here." Kari instructed.
"But what if we get lost?" Sabina asked. "People end up getting lost in caves then die!" she added the last part with a malice tone, freaking everyone out.
"You love being creepy, don't you?" Davis asked.
Sabina shrugged. "All part of being a goth."
They then split up into their groups and took off into the first three tunnels.
