Happy 52nd monster birthday, Dr. Cockroach!

On September 12, 1962, Dr. Herbert Cockroach was conducting an experiment that would give humans the cockroach's ability to survive. He tested on himself and it was a success...but with a minor side effect.

Now this mad scientist is able to scale up walls and across ceilings or any vertical surface upside down with ease.

He is very speedy and uses his cockroach abilities to escape danger rather effortlessly. He also has a strong liking for garbage.

Dr. Cockroach is considered the most brilliant man on Earth; having a four-digit IQ. He was voiced by Hugh Laurie in Monsters vs. Aliens, B.O.B's Big Break, and Mutant Pumpkins from Outer Space; James Horan in Monsters vs. Aliens: the video game, and Night of the Living Carrots; and Chris O'Dowd in the Monsters vs. Aliens tv show as well as Robin Atkin Downes for one ep: "The Two Faces of Dr. Cockroach"
